Temple Tour

You must have heard of malleswaram even if you are new to bangalore!
A area synonymous to old Bangalore,A secondary business district , once upon a
time a much sort after ,self sufficient area in the north-western part of Bangalore.
Malleshwaram brings back faint memories from my
childhood. I lived in 11 th cross malleshwaram til my kinder garden.

iisc and sankey tank is in and around and my most favourite
hangouts as a kid too.Even today when i pass by it i feel so nostalgic.Love the old world charm this place exhibits. Reminds me of all the beautiful stretches of road with tree spread canopies we have lost in bangalore today.
But Interesting bit is i never had heard or seen the road parallel to sampige
road..very close to the famous Sampige road flower market.

Thanks to a photography workshop i participated , discovered
a series of temples .a stone throw away from each other on this road..if i am
not wrong there are more than 5 temples out there & most of them are
ancient , said to be atleast 400 yrs old. Kadu Malleshwara temple is also here after which
malleshwaram got its name.
If you go on a busy day or evening it might not bring you
much joy due to the heavy rush. But trust me a morning walk to this road &
the temples for a photography workshop was an amazing experience.I almost felt transported
to another era. Its totally worth exploring this place in the morning hours.
Do explore this one on a sat/sun morning ...its totally
worth wakin up on a weekend for a different experience.
Check out these pics

Go explore the un/less explored.
City city bang bang :-)
Much love ,
